Florence and The Machine Houston Concert reviews
Music was awesome/ Venue organization dysfunctiona
Knowing that the show was sold-out we arrived early to be able to make in inside to see the opening act: The Naked & Famous. Outside the venue was a chaotic mess! Lines for each entrance wrapped around the circular building. Staff workers were rude and sarcastic when questioned about which line we needed to be in which wasn't clear because the email I received stating which doors I could enter did not match what they were saying. Everyone was confused and upset about being stuck outside while only two people worked a single door at each entrance for screening. Luckily, this was a passive crowd so things didn't get out of hand. When we finally entered the building the opening act had finished and Airborn Toxic Event was about to take the stage. Still, the arena was less than 1/4 filled while people stood in horrendous lines outside! I would say that by the end of Cage the Elephant it looked like everyone had finally made it inside. Valley View Casino Center needs to improve their entrance methods if they want to keep people coming to this venue. The bands were all great and that's why we went!
